Today is

International Workers' Day

122 years ago today, half a million workers across America laid down the tools of their trades and demanded an 8-hour work day.

It was the largest strike in
American history.

In 1889 the Second International organization declared May 1st International Workers' Day and
America's massive strike in 1886 became the birth of the standard 40-hour work week.

Thanks to the BILLIONS of wage-earners throughout the world who contribute to our local and global communities!
