PORTLAND TAIKO'S 14th SEASON
IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF OUR ANCESTORS

The heartbeat of the drum calls the community together, reawakening
the spirits of the living, and echoing the heartbeat of our ancestors...
Come join the celebration!
In our 14th Season, Portland Taiko brings the
community together, integrating the
booming drums of taiko
with music and dance.
As a season
subscriber, enjoy the dazzling artistry of Hanayui, the taiko and dance
troupe from one of Japans cradles of modern taiko, Sado Island, in
concert with Portland Taiko for the spring show, From the Village. Our year-long
collaboration with Japanese master folk dancer and choreographer Shohei
Kikuchi leads to our fall concert, In the Footsteps of Our Ancestors, and
three Behind-the-Scenes events give a sneak peak and a chance to talk with
our performers and guest artists in an informal setting!
