Portland Taiko and Oregon Symphony present People of the Drum 2026. This FREE, family-friendly event features live music, drumming and dance workshops.

Scheduled performers include: Mexica Tiahui, Oregon Korean Performing Arts, Alex Addy & Woshishijee and Portland Taiko.

When: Sunday, June 7, 11AM – 1:30PM 

Where: Outside on Main Street, next to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall (1037 SW Broadway, Portland, OR 97205)

This event is FREE, but RSVPs are appreciated so we know approximately how many people will attend. This event is supported by the City of Portland Office of Arts & Culture and the Arts Access Fund.

A ticketed event, Danny Elfman’s Percussion Concerto, will take place at 2:00 pm inside the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Discounted “rush” tickets (50% off) will be available. Look for the Oregon Symphony table on Main Street.
